SITREP · Issue 001 · May 2026

Momentum is real. The pain points are deeper than we thought.

A monthly dispatch from Defense Nexus Technologies — building the network for national security, one validated conversation at a time.

From the Founder

What a difference 30 days makes.

May is closing out with the strongest signal we've had in months — and a clear-eyed view of the work ahead. The platform is moving from proof-of-concept into a sharper V2 prototype, the advisory bench is filling out, and conversations across the ecosystem keep validating the same thing: the cleared national security community has been underserved by tools that were never built for it.

What follows is the May SITREP — what shipped, what's next, and where you can plug in.

— Mike Lore · Founder & CEO · Virginia Beach, VA

Field Report · What Shipped

Where we made ground this month.

  1. PLATFORM · V3 WEBSITE

defensenexustech.com — relaunched with sharper signal.

Our V3 corporate site is live with expanded content and a much clearer articulation of vision, mission, and long-term strategy. The site now also links directly to the platform landing page at defensenexus.ai.

    Status: VISIT · DEFENSENEXUSTECH.COM

  2. PRODUCT · V2 PROTOTYPE

From POC to a prototype that actually shows the thing.

The initial proof-of-concept is shipped. We're now building a significantly improved V2 prototype that better demonstrates the platform's intended capabilities, workflows, and overall UI/UX experience.

    Status: IN ACTIVE BUILD

  3. BETA · EARLY ACCESS OPEN

    Closed beta sign-ups are live.

Early beta user requests are now open through the platform website. Signing up gets you DNX updates and news, and when the closed beta goes live, early users will receive access codes and a real seat at the table in shaping the early Defense Nexus experience.

Status: ACTION · REQUEST ACCESS AT DEFENSENEXUS.AI

  4. TEAM · ADVISORY BOARD

Four strategic advisors moving toward commitment.

Four advisors are currently in the commitment stage. Once paperwork is finalized, we'll announce them publicly. The experience and perspective they bring spans multiple areas critical to early growth.

Status: FINAL STAGE · PUBLIC ANNOUNCE PENDING

  5. HIRING · FOUNDING CTO

    Strong pipeline. Deliberate process.

We've met with a number of highly qualified candidates and continue to build the pipeline. Finding the right technical co-founder remains one of the most important priorities for the company — we're being deliberate, and the right person is out there.

    Status: 4 SOURCING CHANNELS ACTIVE

  6. OUTREACH · SOF WEEK, TAMPA

BMC carried the flag — enthusiasm is real.

Mike "BMC" Colletta represented DNX at SOF Week in Tampa. Conversations around the platform were met with genuine enthusiasm and curiosity — and that enthusiasm is now materializing into early partnership discussions with organizations who believe DNX could create meaningful value for their members and communities.

    Status: PARTNERSHIP CONVERSATIONS ACTIVE

One of the biggest lessons this month: the problems around talent discovery, trusted networking, opportunity visibility, and ecosystem fragmentation aren't theoretical. They're deep, structural, and the national security community keeps confirming it conversation after conversation.

Next 30 Days · Priorities

Where the energy goes from here.

  1. 01

    Close the right Founding CTO.

Bring on a technical co-founder who can accelerate the jump from prototype to MVP and own the architecture from Day 1.

  2. 02

Keep the customer and partner conversations going.

These conversations remain one of the most valuable inputs in the entire build — they let us refine the vision, validate assumptions, and adjust based on direct feedback from the community we're building for.

  3. 03

    Widen ecosystem conversations.

Keep expanding conversations across the community — partners, advisors, and mission-support organizations — while staying deliberate about the right people to bring around the platform.

If any of this resonates — let's talk.

User. Partner. Advisor. Or just someone who cares about better connective infrastructure for the national security community. The door's open.
