Defense Nexus Technologies is an AI-powered matchmaking and collaboration platform built exclusively for the U.S. national security ecosystem. It connects vetted freelancers, prime and sub-contractors, defense tech firms, PEOs, investors, government entities, and other NatSec stakeholders through a secure, intelligence-driven hub. The platform is designed to eliminate the fragmented, relationship-dependent processes that slow down procurement, talent acquisition, and partnership formation across the defense industrial base.

Defense Nexus was co-founded in 2026 by Michael Lore and Mike "BMC" Colletta — both retired U.S. Navy SEAL Master Chiefs with decades of combined Special Operations and defense industry experience. They built Defense Nexus after observing firsthand how fragmented tools, opaque networks, and slow contracting processes were degrading national security outcomes. The platform is their answer to those systemic gaps.

SDVOSB stands for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business — a federal designation administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration for businesses majority-owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans. Defense Nexus is SDVOSB-eligible: both founders are retired Navy SEAL Master Chiefs and service-disabled veterans, and combined veteran ownership sits above the federal threshold. SBA certification is in progress. The designation reflects who built this company and the community it serves.

LinkedIn and ClearanceJobs are general-purpose professional networks. Defense Nexus is purpose-built for the cleared national security ecosystem, using AI matchmaking to surface relevant partners, opportunities, and talent based on clearance levels, mission requirements, and organizational capabilities — not just keyword searches and job titles. It also includes procurement intelligence, secure collaboration tools, and clearance-aware workflows that general networks cannot provide.

A proof of concept is live and a V2 prototype is in active build. We're forming the closed beta now — it opens in late 2026, with public launch to follow in 2027. Closed beta signups are at defensenexus.ai.

All participants are vetted for compliance with U.S. national security standards and applicable federal regulations. International availability is not planned at this time.

Defense Nexus is being built with end-to-end encrypted messaging, controlled-access data rooms, and clearance-aware workflows designed to protect sensitive participant information. The platform is architected security-first, appropriate to the sensitivity of defense work, and clearance information is designed to be handled in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
